Who should attend?  The content is appropriate for teachers, administrators, school board members, university faculty, school counselors, librarians, parents, community leaders and other educators. 35 clock hours will be available.

"I’m so glad I went through the weeklong training. It was well worth it. I hope that all staff members have this opportunity." - Sydney John, Assistant Principal, Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School
WA State HB 1541
The Washington State legislature recently passed House Bill 1541, strongly encouraging school districts to provide professional development in Multicultural Education for teachers and administrators. Such training is considered a key strategy for closing the educational opportunity gap. The State Superintendent for Public Instruction (OSPI) has indicated that our UnityWorks Training is one option for responding to HB 1541, and we are “encouraged to reach out directly to school districts that may be interested in your program.” Please contact us for more information.
UnityWorks Gaining Wider Recognition
UnityWorks was recently invited to give a featured presentation at the National Race Amity Conference in Boston.  Founding Executive Directors, Dr. Randie Gottlieb of UnityWorks and Dr. William Smith of the National Center for Race Amity are seen here. What an inspiring event and a glimpse of what our world could be like when truly united!
In addition, the Yakima School Board has been invited to present on UnityWorks at the National School Board Conference in San Antonio, Texas this April. The conference brochure highlights the presentation as a "hot topic." Join us if you can!
 Welcome!

We are delighted to welcome Kelly McNeely-Nutting, our new Outreach Coordinator, to the growing UnityWorks team. Kelly is a former Sacramento Waldorf School teacher with expertise in restorative justice and youth development. She holds a master's degree in Counseling Psychology, and is an experienced family therapist, social-emotional learning teacher and workshop presenter.
