Hello Musicians,

Two Beats Ahead has an opening in the trombone section. Musicians playing in this band learn approximately 10 charts per session, and the band keeps repertoire from past sessions ready to perform, such as at the annual three-hour dance and fund-raiser for Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind to be held this year on April 28.

Interested trombone players who are ready for a new challenge are invited to alert the band leader, JF Fauteux , and to come out on Monday, February 26 at 6:30 p.m., prior to rehearsal at Merivale High School, to look at some of the music with JF, so bring your horn!  There is parking right beside the west door of the school where we enter to access the basement music room, downstairs, first door on the left.  Bring indoor shoes!

You are also invited to attend and participate in as much of the rehearsal, running 7 – 9 p.m., as you wish to get a sense of what it would be like to play with this band.  If you plan to attend, please provide a phone number that JF can use to reach you during the evening in the following week so you can discuss whether the band is a good fit for you.

By the way, if you play a standard big band instrument (any saxophone, trumpet, trombone, electric guitar, double or electric bass, keyboards or a drum kit) and are interested in being considered for future openings in Two Beats Ahead, please let JF know of your interest at any time so he can get a sense of the numbers wanting an opportunity to join the band and so he can ensure you are considered when an opening does arise.

Thanks.  JF is looking forward to hearing from you.
