February 2018
The Spring Semester has started …although it doesn’t feel like spring…but it has gotten off to a great start! Events kicked off at the end of the first week of classes with eight of us heading to our Regional Winter Conference where students, staff & directors of Chi Alphas from Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin gathered for training. One of the highlights was getting to hear from our National Chi Alpha Director, E. Scott Martin, as he shared about what he believes will be a great student awakening on our college campuses.  We were all encouraged to seek God in our own lives and pray that others will hear His voice. Please continue to pray with us for the students of YSU!

Another great moment for YSUXA was our leadership training at the end of January.  It was our largest group ever [7 students] which will double our leadership group for next year. We are excited to see what God is doing in their lives as they catch the vision of creating disciples on the campus of YSU.

Our students have done a great job in engaging their classmates in relationships. As a result, we have seen many new students attending our events. We have challenged our students not to cruise through this semester but to continue to fight for those who do not have a relationship with Jesus!

Thank you for all your prayers and support!

Love, Joe, Angela, Domenic, Maya & Anthony

Our family has been experiencing some sorrow this past week as we have been dealing with the death of our dog, Blade.  There is definitely a sense of emptiness in our house, and as those of you who are animal lovers know, they become a part of your family.

Angela is doing well some days, and some…she battles. Chemo and radiation kill the bad, but also kill the good.  The doctors say the words “cancer free” and you assume you can just bounce back to your old self. Not the case. So yes, she’s asking the unheard of…for you to pray for her to have patience.

We continue to pray for all of you and your families as we continue to see what 2018 has in store for each of us!
