"The New York Times has written of ARAD EVANS’ “soaring guitar” and placed him on “an index of creative or experimental electric-guitar-based music in America — young lords of the wild in the post-rock tradition.”  Rick Moody says he “seems to have played with everyone of note in New York in the last few decades, is a truly inventive and surprising guitar player, his solos with a sort of sinewy and serpentine quality that might distantly be related to the excellent Nels Cline, but with a little Richard Lloyd or Robert Quine mixed in.” (The Rumpus Aug. 25, 2016). Evans has long been associated with avant garde hero Glenn Branca and he is founder and primary writer for the art-rock Heroes of Toolik.  In addition to Branca, he has appeared with Quiet City, Rhys Chatham’s Merry Band, Ben Neill’s Mainspring, John Myers’ Blastula, The SEM Ensemble, The New Music Consort, composer Virgil Moorefield’s Ensemble and many other groups.
With his bass, ERNIE BROOKS shaped punk rock as an original member of The Modern Lovers, and later with David Johansen, Jerry Harrison, Gary Lucas, Elliot Murphy, Robert Longo and many others.  Brooks has had a long running musical collaboration with singer/songwriter Elliott Murphy, playing bass on Night Lights (1976); and on the majority of Murphy's releases throughout the next 3 decades.  He also contributed to Peter Gordon's Extended Niceties (1980) with The Love Life Orchestra, David Johansen's Here Comes the Night (1982), and Arthur Russell's Instrumentals (1984) and World of Echo (1986).   Brooks maintains an active artistic relationship with trombonist Peter Zummo, with whom he performs the works of their mutual friend and collaborator Arthur Russell.
Guitarist ROBERT POSS was a founding member of Band Of Susans.  Rolling Stone Magazine has describes his playing as “adamantly arty, brainy, visceral and bracing."  Upon the 2002 release of two companion solo CDs, Distortion Is Truth and
Crossing Casco Bay (Trace Elements Records), Tape Op Magazine described Poss as a “guitar genius, drone meister …the master of treated and manipulated guitars.”  Reviewing his 2010 solo release Settings:  Music For Dance, Film, Fashion and Industry, The Wire wrote that Poss's "abiding love for electric guitar is no casual dalliance or detached Platonic infatuation; it's an erotic commitment, an obsessive plunge into the instrument's metallic churn and enveloping drone.”
Drummer STEVE DiBENEDETTO, is a widely shown and collected fine art painter but, when not trampling  the higher reaches of the NY art scene, he is in high demand for his music.  His playing combines true rock power and timing with a melodic, nearly jazz-like sensibility.  His credits include "The Spinless Yesmen" 1984—89, "Wonderama",aka "The Shapir-o-Rama" 1990—95, and Airport Seven from 2010 to 14.  He frequently collaborates with Dave Rick (Bongwater, King Missile, Yo La Tengo, Phantom Tollbooth) and Kim Rancourt (When People Were Shorter and Lived by the Water), and currently appears with Rick regularly in his Bob Carol Ted.
