Happy Valentine's Day to You!
Regardless of your relationship status, this heart-filled day is perfect for celebrating the power of love. There are many different kinds of love—not just the romantic kind—and many different ways to express that love. In the #PlanningForLove series on the GoFisch blog I've featured how, oddly enough, estate planning actually makes a wonderful Valentine's gift. Don't get me wrong, chocolates, wine, and flowers are all great. But, a personalized, quality estate plan speaks to a continued commitment to consideration and care be it for your significant other, your children, or even yourself!
Give these posts a read to explore how Valentine's Day and estate planning are a perfect match.
- Love yourself! Estate planning allows you the chance to determine the direction of your legacy.
- Love your children. One kind of trust, a testamentary trust, is written into your will and provides for the distribution of a portion or all of your estate. (Often this strategy is useful for planning with minor children in mind.)
Read on for a V-Day gift guide you definitely won’t find in a magazine! These gifts cannot be bought in a store and are all a part of estate planning in one way or another.
I appreciate you as a reader and invite you to share this monthly newsletter with someone else who may enjoy it!
