Leadership Development Opportunities
Habits to Own Leadership Conference
This one day conference takes students through creating ripples of leadership in their personal lives. Attendees will learn how to develop action plans for their own lives from every angle in order to create an influence.  The focus for this conference will be on building teams through relationship building.

The purpose of the ambassador program is to provide a leadership program to Minnesota FFA members which will allow opportunities during State FFA Convention to interact and connect with FFA supporters, donors and potential sponsors. The program, in turn, gives industry representatives and donors the opportunity to interact with FFA members and to learn more about the FFA program and its mission.

Additional Member Opportunities
The Ambassador for Leadership applications are due May 1, 2018.  The application is about the FFA member’s ability to communicate with others; their knowledge of and discussion about agriculture education, agriculture, and FFA.  Ambassadors volunteer for five days at the Minnesota State Fair in the FFA Chapter House.

The CHS Miracle Of Birth Center (CHS MOBC) Barnyard Attendant applications are due May 1, 2018.  The application is about the FFA member’s ability to communicate with others; their knowledge of and discussion about livestock involvement in FFA.

Chapter Opportunities
Spring Semester-Long Living to Serve Grant 
Middle and high school FFA chapters may apply for up to $1,200 to support semester-long service-learning projects that meet community needs in one of four focus areas: Community Safety; Hunger, Health and Nutrition; Environmental Responsibility and Community Engagement. To access the application, in English or Spanish, visit www.ffa.org/livingtoserve/grants. Applications are due September 1, 2018
$400 Day of Service Mini-Grant Available
Day of Service Mini-Grants are available to middle school, high school and alumni chapters to make a difference in your community in one of four focus areas: Community Safety; Hunger, Health and Nutrition; Environmental Responsibility and Community Engagement. Please note: For Day of Service Mini-Grants, when you should apply is determined by the date of your service event. Scholarships
South Dakota State University Little "I" is offering 3 scholarships again this year to graduating high school seniors. The Little International Scholarship Applications must be postmarked by February 26th. Applicants must be high school seniors participating in the 95th Little International and planning to attend SDSU in the fall of 2018. Apply now!
College & Career Exploration Opportunities
On MONDAY, April 16th, 2018 NDSU is hosting Ag Ed Day @ NDSU. This event has proven a successful way to connect future students with the degree program and career consideration. This will be a fun-filled day for a select group of high school students with interactive sessions and excitement for Agriculture Education! Students will experience several mini-sessions on the types of classes & labs they would take if majoring in Agricultural Education at NDSU. Further, along with lunch, student guests will learn about majoring in Agricultural Education at NDSU and the many positive career benefits of Ag Ed. Parents and advisors are encouraged to attend.  Students must be nominated to attend this event, so talk to your agriculture teacher about being nominated.  Nominations are due March 23 to adam.marx@ndsu.edu.
Internships
The Minnesota Farm Bureau is looking for someone involved in agriculture to be a Minnesota Farm Bureau
State Fair Assistant during the Minnesota State Fair. This individual will also assist with display set up and
tear down.  See the full description.  Applications due May 15.
Collegiate Member Opportunities
Be a National FFA Conference Facilitator
Looking for ways to interact with students, work with dynamic teammates, give back to a great organization and learn life-long career skills? Consider working as a National FFA Conference Facilitator! Applications for positions on the 2018-19 212°/360° Chapter Leadership Conference staff are open now and close April 2, 2018. More than 8,000 students attend 212°/360° conferences each year from all over the country. If you're interested, apply at FFA.org/careers-at-ffa. Please note that if hired for this position, trainers would be ineligible to run for National FFA Office. Should you have questions, contact Casey Zufelt, czufelt@ffa.org.

2018-19 National Teach Ag Ambassador Application Now Available -- Due April 13th!
The National Teach Ag Campaign is seeking the nation’s most outstanding agricultural education majors to represent the profession as National Teach Ag Ambassadors at the 2018 National FFA Convention & Expo, October 21 to 26 in Indianapolis, IN, and throughout the year at the state level.
