Friends of the Gallery Celebrate 20th Birthday

The Eudunda Family Heritage Gallery reached a great milestone with their 'Friends of the Gallery' celebrating thier 20th Birthday with the traditional 'Morning Tea' in the Eudunda Hall.

The Gallery's President Peter Horne welcomed 40 people to the gathering, including visitor Barb Launer, Community Engagement Officer from the Regional Council of Goyder. Barb did some great networking while visiting.

Peter also introduced the video playing it the background on the stage, which was the "Eudunda Revisited 125th Celebrations" from November 4-12th 1995. (Top Photo)

Eudunda's Young Citizen of the Year 2017 – Kayla Steinborner had the honour of cutting the cake this year.

It was a morning for lots of catching up chatting, memories, and even more so, memories prompted by the video, as it showed many of our friends who have since passed on. it was also interesting to see some of the activities that Eudunda did to celebrate.

New Eudunda Street Party Committee For 2018

The Eudunda Street Party AGM held on the 31st January produced positive results with four generous ladies volunteering to take on the task of organizing this year's event.

Amanda Pfeiffer, Kristy Watson, Lisa Menzel and Julia Schutz have come forward at the meeting held at Raj's Good Karma Cafe - Eudunda. Previous organizers Regina Scholz and Katie Preston were there to give them support and will be available to advise if needed.

The Eudunda Community, Business and Tourism Committee (ECBAT) would like to thank Regina Scholz and Katie Preston for thier great work over the previous five years and look forward to working with the new committee, which is actually a sub committee under ECBAT.

It's great to see that two of the sub-committee, Kristy and Lisa are Main Street Traders, and that they are keen to support the event.

Lavender Federation Trail - Planing For Clare

Members of the South Australian Recreation Trails Inc, (SARTI) and Riesling Trail and Representatives from Clare, Mintaro, Watervale, Manoora, Robertstown, Eudunda, Adelaide and Murray Bridge met at the Sevenhill Hotel on Thursday 8th February to plan the final stages of marking the Lavender Federation Trail.

The Opening of the final section from Manoora to Clare set for 5th may this year was also firmed up with great input from local representatives. 

Sadly the meeting was punctuated by the sound of many Emergency Service vehicles racing past with sirens blaring as the fire one week earlier at Emu Flat had flared up again. The meeting was indeed worried for all those affected, and emergency workers for thier safety, and was mindful that it was burning in the area the new trail was planned.

The Eudunda District Show Committee will be holding thier AGM on the 23rd March 2018 at the Eudunda RSL Rooms

Worlds Greatest Shave at Eudunda 15th March

Lisa Menzel of Infinity13 Hair & Beauty is holding a huge fundraiser for the Worlds Greatest Shave at the salon in Bruce Street. Lisa explained,
"We have already got 3 people, 1 who is shaving their head & 2 are colouring thier hair.
In support I plan to have a trading table, raffle & sausage sizzle on the day.

"All proceeds will be going to the Leukaemia Foundation. If you can support the event please contact me on 08 8581 1331.
