In order to mitigate cancer risks within Florida's fire service, the office of Florida's Chief Financial Officer and State Fire Marshal has developed a grant program to award post fire on scene decontamination kits to Florida fire departments. Applications are currently being accepted. The decontamination kits awarded will include tools to assist in the implementation of post fire on scene decontamination procedures to help reduce exposure to contaminants.
