You're Going to Love What We Are Doing This Weekend!

Here are all the reasons you need to be at New Salem this Sunday:

Reason #1: Sunday Morning Worship

This Sunday at 10:45 AM, Pastor Alan will teach us what it means to "Love Like Jesus." We will also take part in passionate worship lead by our praise team and choir, with songs like ”Come, Now Is The Time to Worship”, “Sunshine in My Soul”, and “You Are Worthy”. Natalie Crowe is scheduled to be our featured soloist. It will be a upliting time of celebration--bring a friend!

Reason #2: Learn How to Share the Best News You've Ever Heard

This Sunday in our 6 PM service, we will continue to worship Jesus with some of our favorite hymns and choruses, and Pastor Alan will share with us an easy way to present the gospel to our neighbors.

Reason #3: Chili!!! (Need we say more?)

Following Sunday's 6 PM service, join us for a chili cook-off in the Unity Building. Everyone is welcome! Bring a 2 liter drink and a bag of chips or crackers to share, and enjoy some wonderful homemade chili. Kids and students can make a dessert for our dessert contest! This event is sponsored by New Salem' Sunday School ministry.

Speaking of things to get while they are HOT...

Time is running out to get your tickets for New Salem's annual Sportsmen's Fish Fry on March 17! Enjoy a fantastic meal, guest speak David Awtrey, live music, and door prizes. Tickets are $10 each, and are available at the Welcome Desk after each service, or through the church office. While on the Subject of "Hot" Times...

Last Saturday night New Salem's Student Ministry threw a Valentine banquet for our Senior Adults. Even with the torrential downpour, we had a great turn out, and a good time was had by all! Check out this video to see for yourself:

In the Wake of Another Tragic Shooting...

Thanks to last year's church shootings in Nashville and Texas, keeping our congregation safe is on a lot of people's minds right now. Our friends at the Hamilton County Baptist Association are partnering with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department and the Chattanooga Police Department to sponsor a church safety seminar on Tuesday, February 20, 6:30-8:30 PM at Abba's House in Hixson.
