I have painted this lighthouse on many occasions already, the only thing was, from quite a distance! Inspired by a picture I saw ,  I decided to get up close and have a good look at this monumental structure.  It is new subject matter for me, and it feels fine to get on location and meet the challenges she presents to me. A pleasure to be working on one of the very few authentic corners left in Scheveningen.
