GENERAL INFORMATION

Jersey – New Uniform
There is currently a delay on the arrival of new jerseys. Girls who are waiting for their jersey to arrive need to visit Mrs Anna Bone in the Administration Office who will loan them a jersey from last year.
The new jerseys are expected to arrive in March. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Every bit helps!

Major school events are published on the website calendar in real time making it the most up-to-date place to find out what is happening at school

ACADEMIC

NZQA Reviews and Reconsiderations
After looking closely at NZQA answer booklets or portfolios girls may wish to apply for a review or a reconsideration of their results.

In a review all sections of a booklet or portfolio are checked to make sure they have been marked and results correctly recorded and transferred. A review does not involve re-marking. There is no charge for a review.

A reconsideration involves reassessing all answers in the answer booklet using the original assessment schedule, in other words, re-marking it. It also involves checking mechanical processes, like transferring grades. NCEA reconsiderations cost $20.40 for each standard. The fee for Design and Visual Communication (DVC) and Technology portfolios is $20.40 for each external achievement standard, not each portfolio. Where the reconsideration leads to a change of final grade the fee is refunded.

We suggest girls bring the papers or portfolios to their teacher in the first instance then apply through their Learner Login on the NZQA website. Both reviews and reconsiderations close on Thursday 15 February.

BOARDING

Weekend activities
We will be heading to Pandora Pond in Napier for kayaking and paddle boarding, followed by fish and chips on the waterfront for dinner.

Nimons Buses
Nimon’s buses are running this weekend. We have had feedback from some parents that the booking app is not working properly. Can you please contact Nimons directly on 06 877 8133 as Woodford House does not manage bus bookings.

Leave requests
As per the information sent out over the holidays to all returning and new parents, we are using a new software programme called ‘Boardingware’ for our leave requests in 2018. You will be receiving an invitation over the next couple of days to log in and create an account if you do not have one already. All full boarders from 2017 should already be signed up so please continue to use this process. Our old link on the website is no longer in use. If you have an urgent request please email: boarding@woodford.school.nz
