Every business should ensure effective communication channels are in place across their workforce - some teams need help to get it right.
"Our focus was to strengthen team spirit, build trust and enhance our communication across shifts and departments.  Our sessions at Outdoor Elements, supported by an additional day of self-awareness training, have helped us to achieve this.”   Sainsbury's
WHY IS GOOD COMMUNICATION ESSENTIAL?
Communicating effectively helps to build and maintain good working relationships and in turn this can improve morale and efficiency.

Employees will be confident in communicating new ideas which can benefit all.  Strong communication ensures everyone is working towards a common goal.

Managers who can communicate effectively to their team can ensure expectations are met, will be able to provide constructive feedback and develop individuals for a stronger team.

Clear communication can lead to higher productivity as less mistakes are made and unnecessary delays are avoided. Regular communication builds trust among employees as they feel like a valued member of the team.

Communication is a two-way process – so listening and understanding is also important to achieve success and resolve problems.
HOW CAN OUTDOOR ACTIVITY TEAM BUILDING HELP?
Working in small teams to complete outdoor activity challenges allows for communication skills to be reviewed.

Communication will be essential to successfully complete tasks.

A shared experience in a neutral environment will allow for feedback on developing the skills of communication and listening.  The team can bond and build lasting memories from completing tasks that push them physically and mentally.
