Dear <<First Name>>,

There has been a silence since our last email mini update.  We have been busy!  We can hardly believe it’s April already.  Here is a taste of what we’ve been up to:

On the ministry front, things have been exciting.  Cor Deo launched in February and Peter has been so encouraged and challenged by his time with Ron (his co-mentor) and the 8 guys involved in the program. (see website for more details)  This month he and Ron have also been teaching a series of evening classes at church on the book of Habbakuk.  On Sunday mornings and evenings at Ladyfield, Peter is in the middle of an 11 message series on the book of Mark.  We are encouraged to see people’s hunger for God’s Word taught clearly.  We have also been hosting a house group for young adults at our house, every other Tuesday.  Next week we’ll start studying the book of I Thessalonians.  Please pray for God to really work in the hearts of those who come – that they will be transformed from the inside out and really learn how to feed themselves from God’s Word.  As a couple, we have also started to meet with one of the Cor Deo guys and his fiancé for some pre-marital counselling.  Please pray for us to connect well with them and to be a blessing as they start their life together.

As a family we’ve been soaking up the beautiful spring sunshine as much as possible.  Winter and birthday season are now over and we have 6, 8 and 10 year old girls in the house, and of course a certain 4 year old boy.  The children and I (Melanie) have been enjoying the green grass, new blossoms and flowers and the beautiful birdsongs.  God’s creation is amazing.  This year, we decided to plant some veggies (safely away from the rabbits!), so the children helped Peter and me with that a few weekends ago.  We have 9 weeks left in our official homeschooling year which has been another huge success.  I thank God often for the amazing privilege of home-educating and discipling our children.  Learning, making mistakes and just experiencing every day life together as a family is a tremendous blessing that we appreciate more as time passes.
