Winter walk in the Duncan Nature Reserve forest
Forests need to be 250 hectares in order to provide forest interior (at least 100 metres from the edge and therefore protected from environmental influences) habitat for wildlife. 500 hectare forests are the most valuable. 2013 Grey Sauble Conservation Forest Management Plan, Page 13
