Dear Port Fairy Folk Festival Friend,

The Fairy Tale of Port Fairy - The Pogues Songbook
Narrated by Derek Guille

Saturday 10 March Stage 3
10:30 pm – 12:00 midnight

The Fairy Tale of Port Fairy will reimagine a snapshot of the great body of work of The Pogues. For those who know the songs it will be a joy to revisit, and for those who don’t it will be a mighty introduction to the poetry of The Pogues.

Derek Guille, says, “From the first time I heard Rum, Sodomy and the Lash, I was hooked. This was folk music for the times - punk and trad, raw and angry, profane and beautiful. The Pogues were more than a folk/punk band - they were a great band.”

This is just one of the many special events at this year’s festival. Third release tickets on sale until midnight 15 February.

Warmest regards
The Program Team x
