Lent 2018
Ash Wednesday: February 14
Masses at 7:30 a.m., 12:10 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m.
At the 5:30 Solemn Mass, the Schola Cantorum will sing the Missa quatuor vocum by Domenico Scarlatti (1685–1757), as well as the motets "Exaltabo te, Domine" and "Miserere mei" by Domenico's father, Alessandro Scarlatti (1660–1725).
The Music of Lent: From Dufay to Fay
The Lenten musical repertoire of the Church, though austere and penitential, is also one of its deepest and richest. This Lent the Schola Cantorum will sing music for the 9:30 a.m. Mass spanning nearly six centuries. At one end of that span is a 15th-century Mass by Guillaume Dufay based on "Ave regina caelorum," the Marian antiphon for the season. At the other extreme is a 21st-century Mass setting by one of our own members, countertenor Terrence Fay. Preview all the Schola's upcoming repertoire in this musically and spiritually rich season of the Church Year.
Second Rosary Concert:
Passion Sunday
The Sorrowful Mysteries: Sunday, March 18 at 3:00 p.m.
The Rosary Concert Series continues with a recital of 16th- and 17th-century Italian arias and cantatas on the subject of the Passion. With Elizabeth and Charles Weaver (soprano and lute).

Free Admission; followed by a brief reception.
