"A 25-year-old Swedish activist has commenced a treacherous walk from Sweden to Palestine, to raise awareness about human rights violations in the occupied territories. Benjamin Ladraa says he was so moved by a three-week trip to Palestine last April that he decided to "tell the world about the situation in Palestine". "I was shocked by what I saw there, seeing all the walls, soldiers walking along the streets carrying M-60 machine guns. I heard stories about 300 children in prisons, rapes in homes." Read more >>

"Pro-Palestinian Dutch activist Margriet Teders passed away last Tuesday in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She was 91. Teders was born on February 18, 1926 and was considered one of the oldest activists in the Netherlands and Europe who fought for freedom and equality all over the world as she spent many years of her life protesting against injustice and oppression." "Israeli occupation forces raided the West Bank village of Nabi Saleh in the predawn hours of Monday in the latest episode of Israel’s premeditated revenge campaign against the Tamimi family. They detained Muhammad Fadel Tamimi, the 15-year-old boy shot in the head with a rubber-coated metal bullet at close range and seriously injured by Israeli forces in December." Read more >>

"In January 2018, the Australian Friends of Palestine Association partnered with the Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF) to provide plumbing and sanitation equipment for Al Nasir pediatric hospital in Gaza city. Al Nasir Hospital is the main neonatal hospital in Gaza and has been impacted by the high level of salination in the water supply in Gaza, which impacts patient care, infection control and sanitation for patients and staff there."
