Navy takes Centre Stage in Devonport March 24th

The Royal New Zealand Navy is an essential component of the Devonport place. Indeed Devonport got its name from the Devonport naval base in England and the presence of the frigates in the Waitemata Harbour is often a sight locals may think little of, but is marveled at by our visitors.

This year the Navy will be opening its gates, inviting the public to step aboard and get a real taste for life in one of our three major defence forces. The village will be getting festive for the occasion and we'll be offering family friendly activities, street entertainers and plenty of fun. So put the 24th in your diaries - where we look forward to seeing you in Devonport.

Devonport Village Market Day: Sat 24 March 10-4pm

All aboard! Cruise along to the Devonport Village Market Day and Navy Open Day this March 24th. With family entertainment, live music, markets and plenty of Devonport Shops joining in the fun. This is a great day to celebrate one of the key cornerstones of Devonport's place.
