What we've been up to

Getting back into the curriculum has been great. The routine of an active game, our bible story video and splitting into our 2 groups to explore more is working really well. Most weeks your children will take something home, we hope this is a useful prompt to chat about what they've been learning. This month we have heard about Jesus healing, how we can pray and that we don't need to worry.

What we've got planned for March

This month we have two new memory verses, the second of which I hope the kids will perform on Easter Sunday at church (a good excuse to invite some relatives or friends). Here is a link so your kids can sing along at home. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ku99SX_sX8
Our leaders have ChildSafe training on 17 March, all our leaders and helpers must be ChildSafe trained. As we continue to grow it would be great to have some more parents trained up too (we had 21 children downstairs last week, praise God!). We have strict ratios which we need to keep to,
children aged 2-3 years - 1:5 (1 leader to 5 children)
4-5 years - 1:7
6 years and up - 1:8

Thank you so much for your support of Kids Church, please keep praying for all our children and leaders.

In Christ,
Lyn Nankervis
Kids Church Coordinator

Useful resource:
New City Catechism contains 52 questions and answers about our faith. The mobile apps have a children's mode which has a song for each Q&A. A fun way to teach our kids about our great God.

All in our church are invited. It will be a great opportunity to have fun together and to invite people who don't usually go to church.
Bring your swimmers for the waterslide!
Kids Church has been growing, so we need more helpers. It would be great to have at least one parent from each family to be ChildSafe trained so they can be a helper about once every 2 months. Helpers only need to attend the 9am - 1pm training.
Our Kids Church leaders are Lyn Nankervis, Karen Pyke & Dianne Ferguson.
Each week your child will be taught by at least 1 of us and 2 or 3 of our wonderful helpers. All our Kids Church leaders and helpers have current Working With Vulnerable People cards and Childsafe training.
