In the cooling are stacks of daffodils that are almost ready to go into the greenhouse. These are almost ready to be planted in the greenhouse. The daffodils are planted on a very special and innovative way!

W.F Leenen needs to be credited for the international transition of the cultivation of daffodils to take place on North Seashells. With discovering the possibility to use these seashells a big innovation was born. This innovation resulted in clean and top quality products.

Cutting edge
Fresh cut and in bunches on the crates, the variety that is cut is 'Grand Soleil D'or'. This is a multi-flowered variety that is also one of the most popular varieties of W.F. Leenen & Zn. All of the daffodils delivered by Leenen are clean and treated with a Chrysal exclusive product. This gives the flowers 1-2 days longer vase life and ensure that the daffodils can be mixed with ohter flowers in a bouquet.

Not only daffodils!
Sonatini's are also grown by the Leenen brothers!
W.F. Leenen & Zn. was looking for a product that could supplement their existing infrastructure for the production of Narcissus. The Sonatini™ is a new crop, that like the daffodil, is perfect for pot-, patio-, cut-flower and garden culture. The varieties have been bred to meet the requirements for outdoor culture in the Netherlands. It is, therefore, suitable for garden planting throughout Europe.
