We appreciate our generous donors! Thank you for stretching the food budgets and bringing supportive relationships to our families!
Persistence Pays Off in Indianapolis

The Creek, a church with two campuses on the south side of Indianapolis, is committed to development with their Food Neighborhood Networks. Originally turned down by the local food bank, the Creek's members began by collecting food from the congregation and trusted God that their ministry would have an impact.

The Creek now partners with the Midwest Food Bank to serve two groups, one located at the main church campus and one in a public elementary school where they serve. An uplifting community has been formed which brings food security, educational opportunities, spiritual expression, participation, accountability and dignity for ANYONE in need.

It's About More Than Just Food in Michigan

New Heights Christian Community Development Association sponsors two Community Food Network groups in Benton Heights and St. Joseph, Michigan where they feed individuals and families in body, mind and spirit. Handouts and charity are replaced with meaningful involvement and community. Members meet monthly to distribute food, support and pray for one another.

Last year the groups provided 77,559 pounds of food, or 64,600 meals.

Members Joined for Food but Found So Much More

In its fifth year, the Bountiful Harvest co-op in Omaha, Nebraska belongs to its 80+ members. They are a family who are learning to help each other as they help themselves. They collect dues, unpack and sort food and vote on operations. First Lutheran sponsors the Bountiful Harvest co-op.

Bowling Party Celebration

The Food Security Group at Walton Crossing Apartment Community voted to have a bowling party with some of their member funds. Coordinator Fatima Sanford, who orders the group's food, made the arrangements. Her son celebrated his birthday with the group that night. Tawanda Mitchell, who has moved on to graduate school and her own house, came back to enjoy time with friends. Steering Committee member CC Bester brought her young ones, who got top scores!
