Restart and Repair Party
Upper Norwood Library Hub

SE19 1TJ
Sunday 25th February
 1-4pm

Restart and Repair Cafés are free meeting places and they’re all about repairing things together ! We're going to bring one to Crystal Palace with your help! Together with fixers we can start making the repairs to broken items.

You can bring along one item you'd like repaired and let's see if we can fix it together! If we can't sort it on the day, we might be able to help you order the missing part.

As this is our first event we are inviting fixers and enthusiastic volunteers to come together beforehand to help make it happen. Join our new facebook group Crystal Palace Fixers to get involved https://www.facebook.com/groups/177745732824307/
or email Alys: alys@libraryofthings.co.uk to join in, - see you on the 25th !

Something more about the spirit of the event:

Everyone is welcome to be a repairer. No matter your level of experience/confidence, enthusiasm to volunteer & desire to learn is all that is needed.
We are not a free repair service, fixers are here to help and teach people how to repair their things, not just do it for them
We can't guarantee a successful repair. Every visitor needs to consent to the repair actions as we can't be held liable for failure to repair.

p.s this event is part of the new Crystal Palace Library of Things, coming this Spring !
An exciting three-way partnership between Crystal Palace Transition Town, The Library of Things and Upper Norwood Library Hub !

Plus ...also this weekend:

Edible Garden

Anna says : "
Hello gardening friends,
It may seem unlikely, but it's about time to start planting tomato seeds. I always wonder how these tiny seeds, planted in the depths of winter, can grow to give us such a luscious summer harvest - but grow they do. We'll start them off in pots on our window sills, then plant them out later in the year when the temperatures are warm and the seedlings have grown. We'd love to see you, especially if you can host some tomatoes on a sunny windowsill for a couple of months.

The regular newsletter will be back at the beginning of the month, in the meantime maybe see you at these special events tonight and over the weekend !

Best wishes from, Crystal Palace Transition Town
