2018 Clinician Evidence-Based Practice Workshop & Internship
Our 10th annual Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) Workshop will take place April 26-27, 2018 at Japanese Cultural Center in Honolulu.
In the past nine years, more than seventy-six teams have completed or are in the process of completing EBP projects. Hawai`i’s EBP teams have made significant accomplishments and contributions to nursing practice. In today's rapidly evolving health care climate, effectiveness and efficiency are the currency of care. Your patients, your nurses, and your institution stand to directly benefit from the full integration of evidence-based nursing care within your institution.
The EBP Workshop offers facilities an opportunity to educate and train teams of staff nurses, APRNs, managers, and allied health professionals on how to conduct an EBP project. Nurses who have completed projects will tell you that they are impressed by the power of the process and the realization that they have the ability to positively impact patient care outcomes.
We urge you and your organization to take advantage of this opportunity and support a team of 2 to 3 nurses to attend the workshop. The workshop is followed by a 12-month internship to provide project support and ongoing education, at no additional cost. All neighbor island organizations and nurses are encouraged to register. Support is available to facilitate participation.
Enrollment is limited and available on a first-come, first-served, basis. We hope that many of you will be able to join us or support a team from your organization. Please share this opportunity with your colleagues and within your organizations.
