Summer Camp 2018 promos showcase custom type and illustration, 3D graphics
Every year around this time we have the privilege of working with a handful of summer camp clients to develop branding and promotional designs for summer programming. These projects often allow us to stretch our creativity to develop new and exciting design elements to reinforce carefully planned messaging.
Covenant Pines Bible Camp's 2018 Theme of "Overflow" led us to explore a hand-lettered solution that accentuates the characteristics of water in a logo graphic that feels like it's about to burst. We also partnered with camp staff to create a waterfall illustration to support the theme.
 
Portage Lake Bible Camp approached us with a very unique idea for its 2018 summer theme: 3D. Or more specifically, the idea that some things can only be seen clearly through "the right lens."
We worked with camp staff to come up with a plan to use 3D as a design element and rename the summer theme "VIVID." The design team created a logo and supporting graphics that not only clearly mimic 3D design, but actually work with 3D glasses.
The summer brochures were also designed to utilize 3D elements, and each brochure was stuffed with a pair of 3D glasses to bring the experience to life for the viewer. You can see a few examples of spreads from the brochure, which received rave reviews, below.
We're Hiring
You may have heard by now, but we're actively seeking a new team member for the role of Senior Designer. After 4 years of great work, Kevin Kinley accepted a new position with a digital agency here in the Twin Cities.
We wish Kevin all the best, and we miss him already. They'll have big shoes to fill, but we're excited about our field of candidates and are conducting several interviews this week. More to come on who will be joining the Malley Design crew.
