EMU Bright Futures Ideas to Action iiE Gathering

This June, the iiE will be joining forces with Eastern Michigan University Bright Futures for an event with the theme Reflect and Serve: Designing for Social and Emotional Learning.

Designing for Social and Emotional Learning: Thursday, June 28 will be a workshop day in which participants will have the opportunity to work on meaningful challenges using a design thinking process and iiE’s signature Design Mindset Cards.

Reflect and Serve: Friday, June 29 will be a full-day experience led by the EMU Bright Futures team, featuring a keynote story slam, professional development workshops, youth panel, and unconference sessions.

Registration is open now, and the schedule is here. You may register for either or both days, and SCECHs will be available for Michigan K-12 teachers.

Workshop Proposals and Ideas: Do you have an idea for short workshop (up to 90 minutes) that you’d like to lead? Do you have requests for workshop topics you would like to have offered? We are starting to put together the workshop lineup, and we’d love to have your input. Use this very brief form to tell us your thoughts -- this is not a commitment or submission, just a way of informally collecting your ideas.

February Design Mindset Challenge

We've been approached by a group of musicians who are seeking a name for their new band. If you would like to play along with us then please complete this form with your suggestions. If your suggested band name is chosen you will be sent your choice of a fabulous iiE pint glass or "Fail Better" t-shirt.
