Utilizing Agnostic Software to Streamline Supply Chain Operations

A Visit with Ralph McCoy of Apptricity

Written by Lori Williams

“We try to position ourselves so that there’s not a single industry our products wouldn’t support,” says Ralph McCoy. Along with being the featured speaker at the March 14 Oklahoma Venture Forum luncheon, McCoy is also the Executive Vice-President of Apptricity, a company specializing in enterprise-class software that streamlines supply chain and spend management operations. “The U.S. Government has our technology worldwide, as does Nestlé and AT&T,” says McCoy. “Those are hundreds of thousands of users and millions and millions of items.” Other companies on board with Apptricity technology include Bed Bath & Beyond, Verizon, and TD Bank.

Alex Lobodiak

President,
True North Ventures

Alex Lobodiak's goal is advancing Oklahoma as a destination for entrepreneurs and enjoys connecting founders with resources. He manages a boutique consulting company, True North Ventures, and directs the business development operations for GeoSafe, which reduces emergency response times. In 2017, Alex helped organize a weekend-long competition where developers, designers, and business-minded individuals come together to share ideas, form teams, build products, and (hopefully) launch startups.

Alex began his involvement with startups in 2009 while studying Management Information Systems at the University of Oklahoma. Over the years, he’s provided analytical services for hedge funds, e-commerce companies, and precious metal dealers. He began consulting GeoSafe in 2015 and joined after leading the company through a successful growth phase. He still consults and advises in his spare time when his wife and chocolate lab allow it.

Alex serves the local community through his involvement in various non-profit boards such as All Kidz, Catalyst, and serves as an organizer for Startup OKC. He is the current president of The University of Oklahoma's Recent Alumni Advisory Board and was the recent production co-chair for the OKC Festival of the Arts. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from OU and has returned to pursue his Masters with a focus on Entrepreneurship.
