Funeral services for our brother Curtis Piper were held at Abiding Grace last Saturday. Pastor Nick's homily included parts of Curtis' remarkable sermon conversation in August 2015 which is available online.

Easter lilies. You can purchase an Easter lily to decorate the chancel for Easter. The cost is $10/plant, and you can include a dedication in honor or memory of a loved one. Sign-up at church by March 25, and please put your payment in the offering plate (marked “Easter Lily”).

A painting class for ladies will be taught by Kim Riley at the church on Tuesday, March 20, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The project (shown to left) will take at least two classes—additional date(s) will be determined later. The materials cost is $30 with brushes available for purchase. Please sign up at the Fellowship kiosk.

Time change! Our first service on Sunday now starts at 8:30 a.m. Other times remain unchanged: Sunday School begins at 9:15 and the second service at 10:30.

We will be providing Easter bags for the children of San Gabriel Lutheran Church in Alvarado. You can help by taking a tag or two off the Easter tree at church and donating the items listed for the bags. The items need to be brought to the church by Palm Sunday, March 25.

Our eighth annual Great Day of Service will be Saturday, May 5. It's a day we serve our community with multiple projects. One ministry we will be supporting is the Fishes and Loaves Pantry in Irving with a canned food drive which begins April 8.

Watering a few plants. We are in need of help to water the four flower pots in our entryway on Wednesdays. Perhaps a member who is already there for Wednesday evening activities could do this. If you can help, please contact Pat Mingus. Thank you.

Cooking oil for GRACE. Need doesn't end when the giving season ends. Please remember the ongoing commitment to the GRACE Food Pantry by bringing in one or more 48 oz. bottles of cooking oil to help those in need.
