Castro Cares is hiring a dedicated Castro/ Upper Market case manager! We are regularly evaluating our homeless outreach component to focus more on targeted case management and accompaniment to services/resources. We will let you know when this new program is up and running.
Castro Cares is not static. We are flexible and try out different strategies. If one doesn't work as well as hoped, we try another. We continue to put pressure on the City to live up to its responsibilities while also taking action to improve the quality of life for everyone in our neighborhood. Look forward to new ideas in 2018!

Our Castro Cares Special Police provide the following type services in the Castro/Upper Market-
Well being checks, assisting the SFPD when requested, facilitating the exchange of information during auto accidents as well as warning and moving along aggressive panhandlers, sit/lie violators and providing a uniformed presence to deter crime.
