Reading to Dogs Transforms Readers

Walk into one of our libraries and you might just find Bo, Chloe, Marco, or Goliath stretched out on the floor in the children’s area, listening to a child read them a book. No, people aren’t sneaking in their pets. This is part of the library's therapy dog reading program.

Here's just a few of the stories and quotes our library patrons shared this month about why their library is important to them!
Haven't I Seen You Somewhere?
It was exciting to get such great media coverage this month about how libraries transform lives and communities. Not only did most of the local newspapers pick up the Libraries Transform story, but we had radio segments on Milwaukee's WUWM and 940 WFAW in Jefferson County, as well as two features on Fox6 Milwaukee News. Talk about getting the word out!

There are currently over 95,000 people unemployed in Wisconsin.
If you're one of them, your library can help.

Cypress Resume is the newest tool that our member libraries now offer to those searching for jobs. In three easy steps, job seekers can fill out a form to create a professional resume, with no templates to download or pay for. Access the website anywhere using your library card.
