Pyrmont- Mudgee. A Red-Hot Partnership

PUCC President Lawrence Gibbons is excited to see Pyrmont making its mark on Sydney’s events calendar: “Pyrmont is enjoying significant tourism growth, largely thanks to the increasing number of first class restaurants in the area. We aimed to create a special festival, combining our Annual Pyrmont Art Prize with recognition of both Pyrmont’s burgeoning dining precinct and our partnership and synergies with the fast-growing Mudgee Region.”

Lucy White, CEO of Mudgee Region Tourism Inc., says that Pyrmont’s dining renaissanceis paralleled by the rapid rise of the Mudgee Region wine industry. “...with up and coming winemakers like Jacob Stein, Michael Slater, Josh Clementson, Julia Conchie and Robert Black offering new varietals as well as well-known varieties,”
“Mudgee has five organic wineries, and it’s one of Australia’s first regions with an organic wine movement, Visitors to Pyrmont Festival will enjoy our diverse range of quality wines from organic to Italian varietals and our renowned big, bold reds.”

PUCC and MWGGA warmly thank Tourism NSW, NSW Department of Industry and Investment, Star City, and City of Sydney for their support.
