Editor's note: Apologies for having no issue of Seeds of Insight last week, and for the typos in some dates listed in the previous issue. Proofreading mindfully here, hoping this issue is error-free. :-) --Keith
The Energy of Our Feelings

"When someone around us is feeling bad or is carried away by negative thinking, we can sense it. Every time we have a thought - whether about ourselves or the world, the past or the future - we somehow emit the thoughts and views that are at the base of that thinking. We produce thought, and our thought carries our views and the energy of our feelings. When we get caught in negative thoughts and worries, it's easy to create misunderstanding and anxiety. When we stop the thinking and calm our mind, we create more space and openness.

Walk With Me

Film Update

Wendy Huot has reached out to say that she is interested in bringing Walk With Me to The Screening Room for a limited theatrical run. The good news is that she plans to do this either way, so the sangha would not be required to contribute to the cost of distribution fees. We are discussing the possibility of an "Opening Night" event, so we can promote Thay and perhaps have a short program led by the sangha the showing. To participate and help plan the event, please contact interbeingkingston@gmail.com.

Sunday at KUF

Deep Stillness

Rev. Beckett Coppola speaks this Sunday, March 11th, "The Pivot at Deep Stillness." Looking for signposts pointing us to peace and calm is not all that balance is about, and it's also not just about finding the space to catch our breath. Finding our center and our groundedness might be a good start, but then what do we do? How do we turn this into a place where we can move away from being generally overworked, overly-busy, and over-committed?
Making Peace with Suffering

"We need suffering in order to see the path. The origin of suffering, the cessation of suffering, and the path leading to the cessation of suffering are all found in the heart of suffering. If we are afraid to touch our suffering, we will not be able to realize the path of peace, joy, and liberation. Don't run away. Touch your suffering and embrace it. Make peace with it."

-- Thich Nhat Hanh
Our sangha has two teams helping to share leadership and facilitation of our meetings. Our Bell Minders Team are mindful facilitators for our weekly gatherings, as well as retreats, taking beautiful care of our friends in the practice including the bell. Our Sangha Care Team facilitates sangha care meetings, plans retreats, minds our library and resources, and coordinates outreach. If you are interested in helping with either or both, contact interbeingkingston@gmail.com for more information.
