Mazel Tov!

Now that you're ready to party again, join the Jewish Business Association at 9:30 p.m. at Evanston Rocks to celebrate Purim. Wait, celebrate who?

Purim (pronounced poo-REEM or PUH-rim) is an annual festival that happens on the 14th of the Hebrew month of Adar. The celebration includes a feast and gifts of food. So, what should you bring tonight?

1. An appetite big enough for free food (including hamantaschen).
2. A liver that can handle an open bar (while supplies last!).
3. Your best costume.
4. A canned food item for a needy family in Evanston.

Don't forget to RSVP on Campus Groups. Want some hamantaschen as a mid-morning snack, too? Snag a piece during today's First Tuesday Coffee Break at 10 a.m.

Raindrops Keep Fallin'

Today's high is 41°F (5°C). Your rainboots were starting to feel neglected, so take a moment to remind them how much you appreciate them.

Bookin' It

In today's edition of "Well, That Escalated Quickly," finals are just two weeks away. We see you quivering with fear. Don't do that. Instead, follow these tips to make the most of your studying habits -- or to replace the study habits that didn't work for your midterms.

  • If possible, handwrite your notes. Using good ol' pen and paper can help you retain what you write.
  • Type your notes in Times New Roman font. Let's be real: You're going to type your notes. You might as well do so in Times New Roman, one of the fastest fonts to read.
  • Reward yourself after certain periods of studying. Whether you want to watch TV for an hour, eat a pint of Halo Top, or both, the reward can help motivate you to study.
  • Chew gum. Believe it or not, chewing gum can help boost concentration.
  • Sleep. No, seriously. Go to bed. A lack of sleep could ruin your memory.

We believe in you! You got this!
