This month we present, within the exchange program between La Casa Amarilla and HardingarT in Norway, the exhibition by Else Karin Tysse Bysheim titled Border. Else Karin has been living with us and working in our workshop for a few weeks, and will create an installation in our gallery that will open on March 8 and can be visited until March 20.
Else Karin lives in Osterøy, and in the Norwegian fjords she creates her installations. She has crossed a border with the wool she has collected from farmers on Osterøy, she sorts it, washes it and colors it red in a slow and laborious process.
A border is a line that differentiates two things. Else Karin thinks about the border we meet every day, it can be a border between land or between people, an invisible border or a visible border. Where does the border go?
