Why we support the ISD 88 Foundation
The ISD 88 Foundation is a non-profit organization in New Ulm that deserves our strong support. The purpose of the ISD Foundation is to provide the school district with a source of funds in order to enhance student achievement. As graduates of New Ulm High School, parents of children who have attended New Ulm Public Schools, and community members of New Ulm we believe in the Foundation’s mission and purpose.
As graduates of New Ulm High School we are grateful for the excellent education we received. We both felt very well prepared to head out into the world. Our academic preparation was strong, but more importantly, we were taught how to work hard and take responsibility for our learning. We appreciate that one of the goals of the ISD 88 Foundation is to encourage teachers to continue to inspire the students of New Ulm Public Schools.
As parents of three children who have attended New Ulm Public Schools we want teachers to continue to explore innovative ways to educate all children, and as members of the community of New Ulm we understand the importance of vital school systems. The greenhouse at the high school, the outdoor learning area at Washington School and several other initiatives have been realized due to the financial support of the ISD 88 Foundation. We appreciate the financial gifts the Foundation shares with teachers so they can continue to explore creative ways to educate the young people of New Ulm and make our school district a strong draw for people considering a move to New Ulm.
The ISD 88 Foundation is a way that we can give back to the New Ulm Public Schools. It is a means by which we can support the teachers as they educate our youth. We will continue to support the ISD 88 Foundation as we believe that supporting educators is an investment in our future.
