Happy Spring

I am so excited that spring is starting to peak out in the sidewalks and glitter buds on the trees around my neighborhood. Now that we have Instagram you can be sure to see some of these lovely sights when you follow us as well as joining in on other herbal, nutritional, and natural adventures.

National Herb Day Celebration

With National Herb Day coming upon us quickly (May 5th) we have a great new free program to share with you in celebration. Join us, all online, all recorded, for four interviews with amazing herbalists, all seeking to support you in finding your path towards health and wellness. Bring your questions and learn new techniques each herbalist employs to keep them on track.

Home Herbalist Study Program

Our new intermediate online program is continuing along nicely. With all classes recorded you can sign up at any time for the classes that suite your interest or take them live as we record them.

Our first trimester classes include Wellness, Human Physiology, Herbal Product Preparations, and Materia Medica. Our trimester 1 classes focus on the digestive system including the materia medica class, with detailed explorations of the herbs themselves, discussing nutrient dense herbs everyone can take to support their health and wellness.

If you are new to herbal medicine and want to get a taste of what these classes entail, explore our free recorded class: Herbal Medicine for the New Enthusiast

Fighting Colds and Flues

Easy recipes for combating the source and symptoms

This month we are focusing on supporting you with all of your cold and flu related needs. You can start right at home in your kitchen, making onion syrup, fire cider, and elderberry syrup. Or if you want to skip the sugar, you can make elderberry ice cubes (patron only recipe)

There are other herbs you can make into teas as well to support colds and flues. Lower a fever with diaphoretic herbs, expel mucus with expectorant herbs, and use anti-microbial herbs to take care of the infections. If you just have a cough there is even a simple little tea you can put together. Use the search bar at the bottom of our blog to find even more tips for colds and flues to keep you healthy as we deal with the changing spring weather patterns.

Have any questions on these recipes or other ways you can use herbs to help keep you healthy and happy? Come over and ask the herbalists at The Dancing Herbalist in our Facebook Group. Also be sure to subscribe to our blog while you are visiting so you get notifications as to when we post each article.
