Seven Wave Sat Nam Meditation
This meditation helps us remove habits we don't want and establish ones we do.

Sit: comfortably in Sukhasana (easy pose) or at edge of a chair, sitting tall. You could be standing do if you need this in a pinch.

Mudra: Palms together in front of heart in Anjali (prayer) mudra

Time: Set your timer for 11 to 31 minutes. Or just try it for 3-7 if you are new to meditation.

Chant: You will chant a long "Sat Nam" that rhymes with "but mom." The "Sat" will last 6 counts, then saying "nam" on the 7th count.

Visualization and Movement: You'll let your focus shift all the way up the chakras starting at the root.
  1. As you start "sat", focusing on the root chakra, pull in the rectum gently
  2. On the second count, lift up on the pelvic floor, with our focus on our reproductive organs.
  3. Focus on the navel and pull it in gently towards the spine
  4. Focus on the heart and feel the vibrations your voice is creating there.
  5. Focus on the throat, feeling the vibrations of your voice there.
  6. Focus on the third eye point, between the brows and up an inch.
  7. Say "Nam", focusing on the crown of the head.
Take a deep inhale and repeat.

In the mood to watch your meds?

We talk a lot about breath in our yoga classes. In this video, I teach a quick trick that you'll hear a lot if you're in my class. It's a way to find calm no matter where you are.
Sending you light and love!

It is with deep gratitude that you have read this far and my only hope is that something here moves you to look at yourself or the world in a new way.

Walking with you as your friend, sharing the ancient wisdom, as your teacher,
Jenny

Wouldn't it be great if someday "meds" would refer to our
daily meditation?

Meditations of all kinds (breath, mantra, chanting) can replace pharmaceutical medications and it's been proven to do so. Here, in our little community, lets start this shift and think of our meditations when we say "meds", knowing that we are using the healthiest way possible to heal all our dis-ease.
