European Colloquium: The European Refugee Crisis and Humanitarian Citizenship in Greece

Join us for the second meeting of the European Colloquium, in which graduate students and faculty from both Pitt and CMU come together to discuss current research on European topics. Our second presenter will be Heath Cabot, Assistant Professor of Anthropology at the University of Pittsburgh. Paul Eiss, Associate Professor of Anthropology and History at CMU, will act as the discussant. Organized as a monthly brown bag event, we hope that everyone will bring not only their lunch, but also their questions and comments to what will hopefully become an ongoing conversation. Ruth Crawford Mitchell Fellowship

The Nationality Rooms Program is proud to announce the availability of the annual Ruth Crawford Mitchell Fellowship which will enable a Czech or Slovak professional to conduct research at the University of Pittsburgh during the 2018 Fall Term. Applications require a reference from a University of Pittsburgh faculty member who will serve as a mentor to the scholar. Center for United Nations Constitutional Research Fellowship 
Deadline: April 9, 2018 

The Center for United Nations Constitutional Research is now accepting applications for resident fellowships at our headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. Fellows will spend one to three months producing a research paper as well as attending extensive optional lectures and workshops organized by CUNCR and its partner organizations. CUNCR fellowships are open to individuals who have recently completed or are in the final stages of their doctorate; post-docs; and practitioners of international law and affairs; and have a strong academic or professional background in international law, global governance, and the United Nations, or related subjects. http://cuncr.org/training-and-research-opportunities/fellowship

International Studies Fund 
Deadline: March 15  
The International Studies Fund (ISF) is intended to help students at the University of Pittsburgh conduct research on international issues or in international settings and/or with international collaborators. “International” is defined as relating to another country or culture, comparative analysis covering more than one country or culture, studies of international relations or of transnational activities, or studies which examine topics related to global issues or collaborative projects with partners around the world. Full-time graduate and undergraduate students at the University of Pittsburgh from all Schools and Campuses are eligible to submit a proposal, including international degree-seeking students. http://www.ucis.pitt.edu/main/isf
