Please join us for an old fashioned barn raising!

The church pavilion is going up this week and we can use your help:
  • Wednesday, March 14, 8:00 a.m.: Lay out structure, cut lumber, and erect the columns
  • Saturday, March 17, 8:00 a.m.: Erect the roof structure—we need all the help we can get!
Due to the nature of the work, all volunteers must be at least 16 years old.

Altar Guild volunteers needed! With the start of our second service Altar Guild is in great need of more volunteers. Duties include setting up and cleaning up afterward for Holy Communion. Training and partners are available so you always have help if needed. Please sign up at the Worship Kiosk or contact Claudia McWhorter.
Easter lilies. You can purchase an Easter lily to decorate the chancel for Easter Sunday morning. The cost is $10/plant, and you can include a dedication in honor or memory of a loved one. Sign-up at church by March 25, and please put your payment in the offering plate (marked “Easter Lily”).
The Presbyterian Night Shelter of Fort Worth is looking for volunteer groups to read books to the children staying at their Women and Children's Shelter on Saturday mornings from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. for their newly started "Story Time Hour." If you are interested, please sign up at the Outreach kiosk, and we will look into putting a team together. If you have questions please see Lori Anderson.
Great Day of Service meeting. Our eighth annual Great Day of Service will be Saturday, May 5. It's a day we serve our community with multiple projects. There will be meeting of the Great Day planning committee this Sunday, March 18, at 9:30 a.m. If you would like to help with this, please come to the meeting or contact Chip or Terri Sakakeeny.
Easter bags. We will be providing Easter bags for the children of San Gabriel Lutheran Church in Alvarado. If you picked up a tag from the Easter tree, please bring your donated items by Sunday, March 25. The bags will be assembled after church that day, and volunteers are needed. Thanks.
Thursday night bowling. Join the fun of bowling this spring in an eight-week "Fun League"! We will bowl at Main Event in Grapevine each Thursday evening, 7:00–9:30 p.m., beginning April 5 and running through May 24. Sign up online or in-person at Main Event—please indicate that you are with "AGLC." Cost is $64 for the entire eight-week season. For more information please contact Jim Perkins or Nick Tomlin.
A painting class for ladies will be taught by Kim Riley at the church on Tuesday, March 20, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The project (shown to left) will take at least two classes—additional date(s) will be determined later. The materials cost is $30 with brushes available for purchase. Please sign up at the Fellowship kiosk.
Cooking oil for GRACE. Need doesn't end when the giving season ends. Please remember the ongoing commitment to the GRACE Food Pantry by bringing in one or more 48 oz. bottles of cooking oil to help those in need.
