CONTROVERSY
OVER PLANNING APPLICATION FOR BEARWOOD ROAD BEDSITS

A planning application to convert some of the space above shops at the Hagley Road end of Bearwood Road into bedsit flats has sparked controversy on social media.

BEARWOOD
STREET FESTIVAL KICK OFF MEETING

The We Are Bearwood community group are starting a consultation about holding a street festival in Bearwood in 2019.
The consultation kicks off with a drop in session at the Coffee Crew coffee bar on Sunday 18th March. People who are interested in volunteering at the event, or are involved in the arts in some way, or those who want to know more about it or share ideas are welcome to pop along and take part or listen.

WHO KILLED FREDERICK JEFFS?

Graeme Rose, writer, director and great nephew of Fred Jeffs is creating a piece of local theatre based on people’s memories of the mysterious unsolved '50s West Bromwich murder case. Fred from Quinton, frequented the Abbey pub in Bearwood.
