Communicating the Value of the IP

This workshop is designed with juniors and seniors in mind to help you think through how to put the IP on your resume and speak about it in interviews for jobs and graduate school. Please RSVP to internationalplan@oie.gatech.edu if you plan to attend!

Approval for Upcoming International Experiences

For those of you who are studying or interning abroad this Summer, Fall, or Academic Year, please be sure to turn in your approval forms by May 1st, 2018 if you have not already done so. Additional information about the process and a link to the forms can be found here: https://oie.gatech.edu/content/international-experiences-approval-form

The approval process can take some time to obtain the required signatures, so please do not wait until the last minute to begin this process! Once your approval form is on file you will be issued a permit for the IP audit course for your summer or fall term abroad, which you will need to register for during Phase I or Phase II registration.

Registration

Registration for Summer and Fall classes is right around the corner! Be on the lookout for an email through the listserv with the IP course offerings for summer and fall as well as helpful registration information. Remember, you must take one course from each of the three IP course categories: International Relations, Global Economics, and Country/Region. Study Abroad 101: Featuring Faculty-led Study Abroad 

This session will focus on students interested in studying abroad on one of Tech's 31 Faculty Led Study Abroad Programs. Just like all of Tech's study abroad options, students earn academic credit towards their degree while on these programs.

Georgia Tech-Lorraine Information Session

Come to GTL information session to learn everything you ever wanted to know about studying at Georgia Tech’s campus in France from staff, and from students who have already been there. A panel of students will share their experiences and answer questions.

International Coffee Hour

Enjoy free coffee, tea, and snacks while making new friends! Casual event featuring different student organizations each month. This event features cultural games and activities. Everyone is welcome to attend so bring your friends!

How Does GIP Count Towards IP? 

Global Internships are a great way to complete part or all of your required 26 weeks abroad for the International Plan! It is definitely acceptable do an international internship outside of your IP requirements, but there are a series of criteria that must be met. For more information click here.
 
Interning in Germany: Tips on Resume, Interviews, and Business Culture

Germany is one of our most popular countries for interning abroad. This info session is designed for those students specifically interested in interning in Germany. Come learn about the nuances of applying to or working for a German company.

How to Find a Global Internship for IP Students

Come learn more about Internship opportunities abroad and how they can count toward your International Plan requirements! This session will be similar to the regular "How to Find a Global Internship" workshops, but will also discuss how to fit the experience into your IP language and international requirements.
