Te Mātātupu: Research

Underpinning both the Maihi Māori Strategy and the Te Mātāuru investment programme is Te Mātāwai’s robust Māori language research framework and plan Te Mātātupu.
Kua kirimanahia e Te Mātāwai a Te Wāhanga, arā, e te New Zealand Council for Education Research (NZCER) mō tētahi o ētahi hōtaka hou, ka mutu mā te mahi tahi e hangaia ai he putunga raraunga whānui o ngā kaupapa me ngā rauemi whakarauora i te reo Māori kua whāia i te whānuitanga atu o te motu i ngā tau e rima ka hipa.
Te Mātāwai has commissioned the services of the New Zealand Council for Education Research (NZCER) and together we will create a database of te reo Māori revitalisation activities and resources developed across the country in the past five years.
The database will be free for anyone to use, and will help people share ideas and plan their support for te reo Māori revitalisation.

E kohia ana ngā kōrero mō te putunga raraunga i tētahi rangahautanga tuihono "He Reo Ora", i whakaterea inanahi, ka mutu he karanga tēnei kia whai wāhi mai koe ki te kaupapa kia whakahaumanutia te reo Māori kia noho anō ai hei reo ūkaipō – “kia ūkaipō anō te reo”.
We are collecting information for the database through an online survey "He Reo Ora" that was launched yesterday and we’d like to invite you to participate so that Te reo Māori is restored as a nurturing first language – “Kia ūkaipō anō te reo”.
