Secretariat -  Environment Representative Seat
Craig Bullock from Birdwatch Ireland Roscommon Branch has been eleceted as a new Environment representative on the Roscommon PPN Secretariat following a recent call for nominations.
Western Region Drug & Alcohol Task Force LINKAGE GROUP

Sarah Brennan (Vita House) & John Griffin (Ballymoe Dev. Group) were recently elected by Roscommon PPN as representatives on the Western Region Drug & Alcohol Task Force. You can now join the Drug & Alcohol Task Force Linkage Group. If you are interested in having your groups views represented and being kept informed of any developments at this committee please email your contact details to brenda@roscommonppn.ie or call 090 6665735. 

Linkage Groups bring together all PPN groups who have a relevant interest or remit in a particular issue, regardless of which Municipal District or Pillar they belong to.

Boyle Municipal District Funding Scheme 2018

Boyle Municipal District is inviting applcations from applicants within the Boyle MD. Click here for more information. 

Social Enterprise Fund

The Social Enterprise Development Fund, a €1.6 million fund which will be delivered over two years; 2018 – 2020, is now open for applications. Click here for more information.

Tidy Town and Amenity Grants 2018

Roscommon County Council is currently accepting applications for funding under the Tidy Towns and Amenity Grants Scheme 2018.  Funding will be made available to Tidy Towns Associations and Local Development Groups to help them to carry out small scale amenity projects.  Roscommon County Council will prioritise the Tidy Towns Associations who enter the National Tidy Towns Competition during 2018 in order to support their ongoing work. Roscommon County Council Arts Office is now accepting applications for Artists Bursaries 2018

  1. The Individual Artists Bursary
  2. The Tyrone Guthrie Residency Bursary 

This bursary programme is designed to further the development of individual artists from any discipline for any purpose that will demonstratively contribute to an artist’s development.

What training needs has your community group?
Roscommon PPN is committed to organising training events based on the needs of community groups. Please take the time to complete this short survey to help us identify these needs.
Community Funding Information Talk
The Community Funding Information Talk that was scheduled for March 1st in the Abbey Hotel in Roscommon has been cancelled due to weather conditions. We will reschedule this talk in the coming weeks and will let people know when a new date is confirmed.

The Ireland Funds Grant Workshop - Midlands - Monday March 5th

This workshop will take you through The Ireland Funds’ 2018 Grant Round guidelines, with tips on avoiding common mistakes and some tips on making your application as competitive as possible. Participants have the opportunity to send questions when registering, so the workshop will be tailored to what you want to know. This will be an informal session with plenty of time for discussion and Q&A.
The workshop is free to attend but space is limited. Click here to register. 

Rathcroghan Conference – Archaeology Above and Below
Rathcroghan Visitor Centre hosts its annual archaeological conference in the surrounds of the ancient royal landscape of Cruachan Aí, in order to create a forum for interested communities and individuals to access, discuss and engage with the unique environment that nature and our predecessors have left us with. National Conference on Native Woodlands
 A comprehensive and in-depth conference on Ireland’s native woodlands will take place over two days – April 30th to May 1st 2018 – at the Glenview Hotel, Delgany, Co. Wicklow. Click here for more information.
