With all the state conferences happening recently, it’s a busy time for Educators Rising members. Here are some exciting opportunities we don’t want you to miss.
Get Ready
If you’re interested in traveling to Panama with PDK International this summer, learn more and sign up for their nine-day international study tour before enrollment closes on March 15, 2018. As a reminder, members of the Educators Rising network (you!) will receive a $900 travel scholarship toward the cost of the trip and a complimentary, one-year PDK membership. (Already a PDK member? Great news — you'll receive a $1,000 travel scholarship!)
Get Involved
Are your students competing in state competitions soon, or have they already competed and qualified to move on to nationals? Applications to compete at the 2018 Educators Rising National Conference in Orlando must be received by April 23, 2018. If you and your students are looking to save on registration costs, be sure to register by April 23, too — that’s the last day for early bird pricing. (Remember, if you book your hotel room at the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista before registering, you’ll save an additional $100 on your registration.)

Mark your calendars! The Educators Rising National Student Officer election is in two weeks, so now’s the time to get to know the three candidates. Encourage your students to join our upcoming Twitter chat on Wednesday, March 7, at 9 p.m. ET to learn why the candidates believe they deserve to be elected.
Use #EdRisingElection to tune in and discover what makes them want to be teachers, what change they want to see happen in education, and more. There will be dedicated time for rising educators and teacher leaders to ask questions, too, or you can tweet your questions in advance to @EducatorsRising to get them added to the official chat lineup!
