Come and make your own at this drop-in workshop. I'll provide all the materials and help you along. You build your own notepad. Takes about an hour. Could last you about a lifetime. This Saturday, 10am - 1pm, at The Reclaimed Room Gallery housed inside Building REsources, 701 Amador Street, San Francisco.

Materials for these notepads are all sourced at SCRAP, the center for creative re-use. For San Francisco based teachers, artists, and designers, SCRAP (801 Toland Avenue) is a gem of a resource. SCRAP diverts tons of material from the waste stream - industrial leftovers, fabric by the bolt, paper of all kinds, and more; things which would otherwise disappear into the maw of our consumer altered environment. And the best way to support the mission of SCRAP is to go and visit them and to shop from them..

I've got a bunch of work hanging in a completely different neighborhood than SCRAP or Building REsources ... Unreal Estate, curated by Norah Crean, is at the Back To The Picture Mission Bay Gallery. It's a nice space and there is great food nearby. The two tables in the window are mine, as well as the hanging glass and acrylic piece, and this image too. I guess I like hammers.
