Dear <<Title>> <<Last Name>>,
The NSSC Network Newsletter, to be published twice a year, will highlight activities of the NSSC Network and its members and provide updated statistics on the Network as it continues to grow.
The International Network for Nuclear Security Training and Support Centres (NSSC Network) was established in February 2012 “to contribute to the global efforts to enhance nuclear security through an effective and collaborative network of nuclear security training and support centres.” The Network holds an Annual Meeting open to all IAEA Member States in the first quarter of each calendar year, as well as smaller meetings throughout the year to advance key tasks and objectives of its three Working Groups.
Over the past five years the NSSC Network has become an established community of practice for states and the IAEA to promote information sharing, identify good practices, and facilitate cooperation and collaboration among NSSCs. Since 2015, in support of those objectives, the Network has focused on developing several improved information management tools. This Newsletter is a key part of that effort.
I would like to thank all contributors to this issue, especially the leadership of Working Group C (Promotion of Nuclear Security Training) and the IAEA Secretariat for the successful launch of our Newsletter. The next issue is expected in 2018 (here).
