Where to find us, pasta class & special offer!

March is a busy month in a farmer's life as we get ready for spring.

We've placed our orders with the hatcheries for our chickens, turkeys, quail and laying hens.  Yep...quail eggs & heritage chicken eggs will be available in August.

We've 'rented' a purebred Tamworth boar from Quebec to breed our sows. 

Job postings for summer students are almost ready and we're flirting with offering tours on the weekends (if you know anyone who might be interested...stay tuned to our Facebook page).



 
Some updates on where to find us this March:
  1. Saturday - Stop Farmers' Market at Wychwood barns on Saturdays from 8:00-12:30.  Just for the winter, we're excited to join one of the best markets in the city.  Come visit us!
  2. Sunday - pickup between 11:30-12:30 at Rorschach Brewery (1001 Eastern Avenue).  While you're there, stay for brunch!
  3. Monday - Sorauren Farmers' Market (50 Wabash Avenue) from 3-7
  4. Tuesday update - Farmers Market at Sick Kids - we won't be continuing.  Though an amazing market, and we love the connection of food and health, the timing of it is tough.  Dave was spending 4-6 hours in rush hour traffic for a few hours at the market.  We hope to rejoin when it moves outside (and we have staff to help!)

Our dried mushrooms are being featured in this class!

Come and learn with our friend, Chef Sophie from Pasta Locale, how to make a pasta dough and tortellini for you to enjoy at home.  It will be an interactive dinner so come prepared to work with flour but also enjoy the great product you will be making!  We will be serving up a lovely tortellini dinner with a salad and garlic bread.
