Petty joins DELTA from the Department of Biological Sciences in the College of Sciences. DELTA Grants are in full swing with a brand new grant category! The Rapid Design Grant is focused on empowering faculty to quickly produce quality, best-practices-based online and distance education courses using a step-by-step process and consultations.
Join us March 22 for Improving Curriculum through Industry Partnerships and Virtual Reality (VR) with DELTA Faculty Fellow Michael Kanters and Kyle Bunds. They will be discussing DELTA’s partnership with PRTM faculty and PNC Arena to create VR training modules to immerse Sport Management students in a real-world simulation. Come experience the VR training for yourself and learn how to implement VR in your own course!
DELTA initiated the Online Course Improvement Program (OCIP) in a pilot phase this spring. Six faculty members from across the university are working hard to get their courses to be Quality Matters certified. Learn more about the program, the energetic faculty who are participating and the expected outcomes.
Learn more about the annual EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI) conference attended by DELTA team members this past January. ELI sessions focused on active learning, adaptive learning, VR/AR and faculty development strategies. Team members also shared DELTA’s strategies and expertise in a poster presentation at the conference.
