In the age of consumer health data, fitness apps and direct-to-consumer genetic testing allow us to make more informed medical decisions and life-style choices. However, this means we relinquish control of our data. Dr. Anita Ho will discuss who can access our information and how will it be used? Who determines whether we have an existing condition?

In Nova Scotia, youth involved in the sex trade or at risk between ages 16 and 18 have no programs, services, or support. This forum focuses on the policy, research, and ethics surrounding these gaps, featuring a keynote and panel of experts in sex work. 

In partnership with the Healthy Populations Institute (HPI), the MacEachen Institute, Stepping Stone, Canadian Centre for Ethics in Public Affairs (CCEPA), and the School of Health and Human Performance, Dalhousie University Faculty of Health, Dalhousie University.
