Good Day Book Lovers!

Spring is in the air and 2018 projects are finally being started!

The big news is an upcoming event on Monday, March 26th. I have been invited by the Windsor International Writers to be the guest author at their
"Taste of Literature" culinary/literary fundraiser. This is a one-of-a-kind evening of specially created food based on ABANDONED - A Jennifer Malone Mystery. Seats are limited, so please purchase yours today! Details are below.

As promised in numerous year-end newsletters dating back several moons ... the Aging Gracefully Together - The Play project is, at last, getting closer to being a reality. With the help of friends in the theatre industry, I've been able to adapt the five chapter novella into a three act play, and hope to find a suitable performing company to stage it. I'll keep you updated!

Also, you can now watch the entertaining "Scribes & Songsters" TV episode that recently aired in Windsor, ON.

As always, I truly appreciate your support of my work and will see you soon!

Aging Gracefully Together - The Play

After 25.5 years since I wrote this love story for a friend's wedding, last week I finished the first draft script for the stage version.  I feel confident audiences will enjoy it sometime in the future. The next step is editing ... always the editing!

"Scribes & Songsters" TV SHOW

Watch the full episode hosted by Veronique Perrier Mandal. We discuss my writing career,
the two successful Kickstarter campaigns and the use of promotional book trailers.

Enjoy!

"Abandoned was the kind of mystery novel that I love – one with many surprising twists and turns. I was so excited to see what was going to happen next that I couldn’t put it down – read it in one day. This is by far John Schlarbaum's best book yet!" ~ Debra Kigar, Burlington, ON

"Hi, John - I enjoyed the way Jennifer solved the crime. The ending was great and I finally knew what that 'abandoned chair' represented. Keep up the good work!"
~ Kathy Johnston, West Lorne, ON

"This book was fabulous! Love the Jennifer Malone character. This certainly was a page turner, right from the beginning. I like the way the lives of the various characters weaved together as the book progressed. Loved the comedic banter mixed in throughout the story and references to local streets, persons
and places. Even when I put the book down for awhile, I couldn't stop thinking about the characters and couldn't wait to get back to it. Can't wait for your next book. Get writing!" ~ Carolyn Z., Amherstburg, ON.
