Weekly Meeting

Please join us for our next weekly gathering, taking place this Sunday, March 18th, for meditation and dharma sharing, 6:30pm at Unitarian Place (Kingston Unitarian Fellowship), 206 Concession Street. Linda Tucker will be bell minding.
Nourishing the Positive

“Nothing can survive without food. Everything we consume acts either to heal us or to poison us. We tend to think of nourishment only as what we take in through our mouths, but what we consume with our eyes, our ears, our noses, our tongues, and our bodies is also food. The conversations going on around us, and those we participate in, are also food. Are we consuming and creating the kind of food that is healthy for us and helps us grow? When we say something that nourishes us and uplifts the people around us, we are feeding love and compassion. When we speak and act in a way that causes tension and anger, we are nourishing violence and suffering.”

-- Thich Nhat Hanh, The Art of Communicating

Walk With Me

Kingston Premiere

As mentioned last week, Wendy Huot is planning to bring Walk With Me to The Screening Room for a limited theatrical run. We now have a tentative premiere date of Saturday, April 14th. Wendy has invited our sangha to lead a guided meditation at the beginning of the film, and to host an information table in the lobby to spread the word about our weekly meetings. If you would be willing to help staff the table, and/or participate in the premiere event, please contact interbeingkingston@gmail.com.

Sunday at KUF

Celebrating What We Fight For

Rev. Beckett Coppola speaks this Sunday, March 18th on how relishing the world around us is what gives us the desire to grow together, and how our love of all of human experience gives rise to our covenant to affirm and promote our goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all.
Drinking Your Tea

“Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the world earth revolves - slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future.”

-- Thich Nhat Hanh
Our sangha has two teams helping to share leadership and facilitation of our meetings. Our Bell Minders Team are mindful facilitators for our weekly gatherings, as well as retreats, taking beautiful care of our friends in the practice including the bell. Our Sangha Care Team facilitates sangha care meetings, plans retreats, minds our library and resources, and coordinates outreach. If you are interested in helping with either or both, contact interbeingkingston@gmail.com for more information.
